Grove GMK7450 All Terrain Crane
A prominent Mining Company in the Pilbara recently took delivery of the largest mobile Crane from the Grove/Manitowoc stables, a brand new Grove GMK7450. This crane was carefully selected due its high capacities and the excellent support provided by the team at WATM®. The crane will be integrated in the company’s existing fleet and carry out duties in the heavy lift side of the ongoing maintenance of the mine’s facilities. The team at WATM® had to heavily modify the factory supplied crane in order to comply with strict onsite safety and OH&S requirements. The seven axle crane rolled out the door in July 2017 all compliant with the mine and Western Australian road regulations.
2011 Franna MAC25 Pick and Carry Crane
In what could be signs of a gentle recovery in the WA economy, WATM recently delivered another used crane to a client who’s a key civil engineering contractor. The unit, a Terex Franna MAC25 pick-and-carry crane, is a 2011 model. Following a brief period of checks and tidy-ups, WATM did the official handover to the client. It is understood that the crane has gone straight to work on the Forrestfield rail tunnel project.
Hiab XS 144 D5 HiDuo
WATM recently delivered a HIAB XS 144 D5 HIDUO and a Digga Auger Drive Unit PD8for international energy company which has been in operation for over 100 years. We used two separate valves for both the Hiab and the Auger drive in order to ensure smooth operation at all times. After the installation was completed our customer agreed to a practical test which went without a hitch.
The Auger PD8 achieved 8000Nm of torque and was capable of drilling through hard rock. This combination of Hiab and Auger proved to be a very effective way of drilling through tough conditions.
